As part of the Annual Action Plan under Market Access Initiative Scheme for the financial year 2011-12, the Dept. of Commerce, Govt of India has approved the Council's MAI Proposal for Organising Two-Day Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet in major Leather Clusters of India.
The main objective for organizing Reverse BSMs and Inviting potential overseas buyers is to promote the capabilities and developments of Indian Leather & Leather Products Industry and facilitate B2B meetings between Indian Exporters and overseas buyers for sourcing from India, establishing marketing tie-ups and exploring business collaborations and joint venture agreements.
Two-Day Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet in New Delhi:
Organising a Buyer-Seller Meet in India by bringing potential overseas buyers / importers of leather & leather products is an innovative concept providing ample opportunity to individual manufacturers / exporters to meet potential customers worldwide of their product interest and enhance their business prospects.
Taking into consideration, Industry feedback / consultations, the Council has planned to organize a Two-Day Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet in New Delhi during July 28 & 29, 2011 at Pragati Maidan, Hall No.18, Mezanine Floor with participation of about 40 Member Exporters of leather & leather products, displaying their latest product designs / collections. The RBSM is also supported by ITPO and Expo Riva Schuh India.
Based on the support of Indian Missions and database of Council, about 35 potential overseas buyers of leather & leather products have been invited to participate in the RBSM and hold business meetings with Indian participants.
